Skyforest has the same old forest found in the Villas. This small neighborhood has a number of older homes, sometimes on large, mostly level lots in some sections of the community. Other parts return to the steep terrain of the Villas and some homes have a nice distant view of Lake Arrowhead. The community is mostly east of Kuffel Canyon Road and the Villas and is accessed via Sycamore. Skyforest properties line both sides of Kuffel Canyon Road and is considered the main access to Skyforest. The lower section of the Road begins as part of the Arrowhead Woods but soon turns to Skyforest all the way to Highway 18 on the south end. There are a few business at the top of Kuffel Canyon as it dead ends into Highway 18 where there are several restaurants and a few other businesses like a nice antique/novelty outlet. Several of the properties
close to Highway 18 with a Sycamore address have city light views. Like many of the “unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County”, Skyforest has it’s own water Company but unlike it’s neighbor the Villas, Skyforest is plowed by the County. It has a higher elevation then Lake Arrowhead proper so generally receives more snow and ice then Arrowhead, basically the the same precipitation as the Villas.
